HEYCO Energy Group does business in
East Texas through two subsidiaries, Rosetta Energy Partners, LP and
HEYCO Development Corporation. The companies are currently active in
Shelby, Nacogdoches, and San Augustine Counties and focus primarily on
the development of unconventional gas reserves.
Rosetta acquired a significant leasehold position in Shelby County
that is now under development in a joint venture operated by Newfield
Exploration Company, Houston. Rosetta has concentrated on drilling
horizontal wells in challenging reservoirs located in environmentally
sensitive areas and with Newfield is developing an 11,000 acre tract
as a federal unit. With operator Fossil Resources of Dallas, HEYCO
Development Corporation has successfully drilled a number of Travis
Peak and James Lime wells in Nacogdoches County. The combined gross
acres held in East Texas by Rosetta and HEYCO Development equal over
56,000.
