
Harvey E. Yates Company (HEYCO),
based in Roswell, New Mexico, is the backbone of the HEYCO group of
companies and has been active in exploration and production operations
in the Permian Basin of New Mexico and West Texas since its formation
in 1969 by Harvey E. Yates, a pioneer oil man and wildcatter.
HEYCO
operates approximately 176 producing wells and 301
Non-operated wells and is currently developing deep
gas reserves in the Morrow and Atoka formations (early Pennsylvanian).
HEYCO also is well known for its pioneering development of the Bone
Springs (Permian oil), a prolific shelf-edge carbonate play, and for the
first commercial production in the Orogrande Basin of Southeastern New
Mexico, discovered in 1997 with an exploration well located 70 miles
from existing production. HEYCO currently holds 157,471 gross and
57,464 net acres in southeastern New Mexico and west Texas.
